経団連の中西宏明会長が2021年春採用から選考指針を廃止する方針を示したことに対し、政府が経団連に同年春の新卒採用については今の就職活動のルールを守るよう要請していることが分かった。
グローバル化が加速し、同質性が強調される一括採用では経営が成り立たなくなる、というのが中西会長の考えの背景にあった。

Asahi Shinbun learned that the government had asked Japan Business Federation(Keidanren) to maintain the current job offering accord for new graduates as opposed to the new plan which Mr. Hiroaki Nakanishi, chairman of Keidanren, proposed to do away with the current hiring schedule for new university grads starting from spring 2021.
Mr. Nakanishi's idea is based on a sense of crisis in which the current system in Japan will lose credibility when hiring competitive employees if companies really need to hire talents irrespective of the schedule.
