==============

Among 25 currencies composed of the Nikkei Currency Index, the Canadian dollar
was the most expensive currency in the week ending 29th.
This is because the middle east oil price, which is the benchmark of oil prices in Asia, went up to the highest for the first time in two years and seven months.
Also, the Swedish Krona has been bought enough since the Sveriges Riksbank decided to stop bond buying on 20th in order to exit from their ultra low interest policy.

==============

According to the Bank of Japan, there are some analysis of why the households in Japan leave most of their financial assets in cash or deposits. First, they should save their money for retirement as the current social security system seems unsustainable. Secondly, they should keep cash in order to leave it with their next generations.
But, the truth is that there is no clear answer why they prefer holding cash to investing in other financial products.

==============

For years, Japan's FSA has been seriously watching the management of regional banks under its close supervision.
In spite of slowly recovering economies in regions, the regional banks' business environment is worsening due to decreasing population and shifting to online-based transactions, even in rural areas.
The FSA and BOJ have started preparing in order to avoid the collapse of these banks undertaking various measures. Though, it seems that it might be too late.

Asahi Shuzou of Yamaguchi prefecture, a famous Japanese sake producer known as "Dassai" brand, is going to construct a large scale brewery in the state of New York for the first time.
It has decided to sell its locally brewed "Dai Ginjyo" sake from 2019, which is made from rice brewed by low temperature fermentation from white rice milled to 60% originally cropped in the US.
The price of the sake might be the same as wines for everyday for families in the US.

==============

"Rebellions" against Tokyo Metropolitan Government by its general contractors are raising new questions for the governance of the Governor Yuriko Koike, who should have resolved the transfer of the Tsukiji Fish Market to the Toyosu area much earlier.
The background of this additional construction in delay, which should complete by the end of July 2008, is that not only the overall construction cost estimated by the contractors is higher than the one projected by the Tokyo government but also a spate of withdrawals from auctions have been continuing.
What is the cause of the distrust?
